Wonderful first day on the sacred sound training course with @anne_malone_oasis . Can’t wait for day two tomorrow. Loving this continuing yoga journey!
There’s nothing like a course to fire up posting on socials. Back to the weights after to my procrastination- great 30 minute strength workout from @juiceandtoya ! Now a quick turnaround before teaching tonight’s yoga class!
Beyond asana @theshalalondon was a truly wonderful 6 days of learning, sharing and being in a beautiful yoga bubble - both in person and online. I learned so much from the most amazing teachers and am full of new ideas and inspiration. So many new connections made with a group of lovely yoga souls! Can’t wait for the next course in January and many more after that!
Old yogi not old fogey! Could this be my new @yogavisionuk strap line?!! After silencing my brain’s doubters, haters and imposters I have signed up to a 300 hour training starting in September @theshalalondon Can’t wait to get back into some more inspirational training!!
A beautiful morning for the spring equinox! I was a bit cheeky and found an AI meadow for this post as I didn`t make the sunrise😂!
The spring equinox arrives, a gentle breath of balance between day and night, where light stretches its limbs across the horizon and warmth begins to awaken the earth. In this moment, the world holds its breath, suspended in harmony, as the sun’s embrace dances in perfect symmetry with the earth.
Like a warrior preparing for a new season, we, too, are called to center ourselves—to align with the shift in energy. The sun’s rising radiance invites us to open, to stretch, to grow. With each breath, we root into the earth like the first shoots of spring, rising upwards with intention and grace. The quiet strength of a tree pose mirrors the stillness of the season, while the flow of sun salutations echoes the warmth and promise of longer days.
The equinox reminds us to find our own balance—between effort and ease, between stillness and movement. Just as the earth tilts toward the sun, we tilt toward the light within, embracing the vitality that comes with the turning of the seasons. Spring is here, and with it, the invitation to bloom in our own time, in our own way, with mindfulness and breath guiding the path.
Lovely to walk down to the village hall for the evening’s yoga class without the need for a torch and to catch a lovely sunset on the eve of the spring equinox!
Of course we all have to breathe - but how we breathe can make a huge difference to how we feel! In the run up to christmas I`m ending my classes with a differnt breathing technique. Once of my favourite is the ujjayi breath - calming and soothing like the sound of the sea!! #adventyoga #ujjayibreath #christmascountdown...
Stay grounded with bare feet! It’s very easy to keep you toes toasty in warm socks on these cold winter days but nothing beats a grounding yoga practice in bare feet!
I’m just recovering from a mega cold and trying to boost my immune system with plenty of vitamin C! There are lots of lovely oranges and satsumas in the shops at the moment so why not treat yourself to a little orange goodness! And the bonus of course is that they smell like Christmas!!
Every day in the run up to Christmas I’m going to be posting a little calming winter magic! Today’s is very simple - light some candles in the dark, put on some lovely music and just relax while watching the flames flicker!
