Lovely morning celebrating the solstice and International yoga day! After practicing 6 rounds of the sun salutation with mantras we grounded with yin before chilling with a sound journey with instruments and poetry! We ended the morning with a summer picnic (inside as we were warned about plague of horse flies on the village green.) Traditional summer fair of cucumber sandwiches and scones (mum’s recipe of course!) and some fab Norfolk strawberries grown by @hannahchapman04. Perfect!
Not long now to the summer solstice - although the weather doesn’t feel like it this morning! To celebrate I’m holding a special event that will weave together the yang and the yin of yoga along with a calming a gentle sound journey. Weather permitting we’ll finish on our lovely village green for a summer picnic!

Classes for June plus a special solstice event! More details coming soon. I’m also starting a new chair yoga class towards the end of the month so watch this space!
Join me for a deeply relaxing sound bath designed to help you unwind, reset, and reconnect.
The afternoon begins with some gentle stretches and a short guided yoga nidra to help you switch off and settle the nervous system. From there, you’ll be immersed in a carefully layered sound journey using crystal and Himalayan singing bowls, rain stick, drums, flute, Koshi bells, and a Chinese wind gong.
Throughout the session, spoken word and simple poetry are woven in to support the experience—offering moments of reflection without distraction.
The combination of sound and guided rest creates space to release tension, quiet the mind, and restore a sense of balance.
No experience is needed. You’ll be lying down for most of the session, so make sure that you will be warm enough and bring anything you need to be comfortable (yoga mat, blanket, pillow etc).
Please note: Sound baths are generally safe, but may not be suitable for everyone. If you are pregnant (especially in the first trimester), have epilepsy, a sound sensitivity condition, severe mental health conditions, or have a pacemaker or other implanted medical device, please consult your healthcare provider before attending. If you are unsure, feel free to get in touch to discuss.
Suitable for anyone looking to relax, de-stress, or take some time out.

First evening yoga class of British summer time and we were treated to a sunset and a moonrise at either end of the village hall! Perfect for our full moon practice
Another brilliant training weekend at The Shala in London with the fab Melanie Cooper. So much inspiration and knowledge and more wonderful yoga connections made!
It might not be a fancy studio but the village hall sure looked lovely for this morning’s class. We finished the session with a relaxation guided through the senses feeling the spring warmth and air coming through the windows and listening to birdsong!❤️
Another course successfully completed! That`s 170 of my 300 hours in the bag with another 30 to come next weekend @theshalalondon. Am so loving this next stage of my yoga journey!
A perfect spring morning in the sunshine on my walk to the village hall to teach yoga! I’ve trod this path very many times over the years! #yogateacher #yogaclasses #villagelife...
